Hits Like a Girl wins With a Song in My Heart

Taking over the King’s Head Pub to close out the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival, the Jenny Awards are undeniably the most decibel-delivering awards night among the many festivals in the Fringe family circus.

Devon More Hits Like a Girl - AND now also like a two-time Jenny Award winner…! On Sunday, July 28th, My collaborator (Digital Media-wright and projection specialist), Matt Gillies and I got to leave the deafening ceremony with my 2nd Jenny Award.

• With a Song in My Heart - a melodic award: Hits Like a Girl is the favourite musical at this year’s Winnipeg Fringe!

This was my 2nd appearance at the 2nd largest Fringe in North America - and now I am a two-for-two goat trophy winner in Winnipeg! Feeling back-to-back blessed by the fans and fellow artists.

@winnipegfringe !!! What a wild ride it was...! I saw 34 incredible shows this #wpgfringe , got to perform my baby show #devonmorehitslikeagirl through to adolescence - with amazing feedback from media and audience, AND I took home (another) #jennyrevue award (“With a Song in My Heart - a melodic award”) to close things out on Sunday...!!! Big love and gratitude to all the staff, volunteers, billets, patrons and artists that bring this world class festival to life. I am inspired - and excited for the next stop: #yegfringe opening of Hits Like a Girl is in EXACTLY 2 WEEKS!
