The name of the Khatsahlano Street Party pays tribute to the First Nations that inhabited this area since time immemorial. Chief August Jack Khatsahlano was a Squamish medicine man and was instrumental in the recording of his people’s and area’s history and traditions.
The Khatsahlano Street Party takes place on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
