50 Day Live-Stream Music Marathon..!
Wowzer. I made it…!
After deciding to treat spring lockdown like a rogue artist residency, I went on to live-stream twice daily for 50 days straight: Instagram Jam every morning @ 10am, and one-(wo)man band practice every afternoon on Facebook Live @ 4:30pm.
Over the course of these 100 shows, I worked through ALL my material, cleaned out the vaults, played songs in public I never thought I would play again anywhere, wrestled with some new cover songs, repeated everything, dealt with inexplicable tech glitches and live-looped musical meltdowns, learned A LOT… and was generally overjoyed by the people who tuned in throughout the journey to see progress being made (and occasionally lost…ha ha).
Near the end of this marathon, on April 27th, I put together another “proper” show: my 2nd Lockdown Living Room Show…which differed from the daily band practice in that I was trying to be performance-ready and polished, with a set selected to provide a bit of a narrative arc while highlight some of the chops I’ve been greasing, woodshedding all spring…

Hint: the “show” starts 10-minutes into the feed, once the “crowd” has gathered… ;)

Fun Fact: in this set, I play the three brand new songs that I wrote (and mostly completed) during this live-stream marathon. :)
