The Lockdown Living Room Show....
Well, in these days of self-isolation, a lot of us are working from home. For those of us not on the frontlines, staying home is the best way to support those who cannot.
And with plenty of intense news media and cabin fever floating around, I thought it would be good to open up my one-(wo)man band practice to the internet..!
I’ve been living streaming twice daily since March 19th: every morning, I do a Brisk Brunch Set (usually about 3 songs) on Instagram Live at 10am PST.
At 4:30pm every day, it’s a one-(wo)man jam session - and everyone is invited! Catch my solo band practice on the Devon More Music page via Facebook Live - even if you don’t have a Facebook account.
I’m polishing my newest tunes, dusting off old material, and occasionally staging a “proper” living room show to try out new combinations of the set list with some poems and jokes and philosophical food for thought.
Amidst the daily workshop sessions, I assemble material for the house concerts I was supposed to be playing this month:
is the first Living Room Show,
broadcast live on March 30th.
